ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY DIGITAL SIGNAGE – CASE STUDY

ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY DIGITAL SIGNAGE – CASE STUDY

There’s no doubt that technology and innovation go hand in hand. That’s one of the key reasons that digital signage has proved such a powerful communications tool. A great example of where technology and innovation is using outdoor digital signage to promote environmental safety is the Tamala Park waste disposal facility in Perth’s northern suburbs.
The Tamala Park facility provides the general public with a comprehensive refuse disposal service, a recycling centre with a reuse shop and a receival area for recyclables along with household hazardous wastes and unwanted electrical items such as computers, keyboards and mobile phones; a transfer station to drop off general wastes. It is now producing electricity on site – obtained from extracting the landfill gas (containing methane) within the landfill site.

It’s not surprising that Tamala Park has matched the innovation at its site, with an innovative approach to signage alerting customers to potential risks. An outdoor digital signage entry pylon is used to convey safety and recycling messages to users, with a safety incident counter to promote injury and incident free days. Read more in our CASE STUDY that highlights the critical safety promotions that this digital signage project delivers in more detail.
