Love ‘em or hate ‘em,  car parks are a necessary and often hard to come by luxury. Nonetheless, they are an essential part of 21^st century living. Here are some of the most unusual car parks in the world  – amazing to say the least!

1. Germany’s Autostadt is an entire community dedicated to Volkswagen vehicles – complete with twin car park towers
2. 1111 Lincoln Road in Miami looks more like an avant garde event space and shopping mall than a parking garage
3. The Q Park Charles Street in Sheffield has been dubbed the ‘Cheesegrater’ due to its jagged metallic panelling
